EXIT STRATEGY: In Ion’s world, it started with earthquakes and fire; his erstwhile traveling companion, Abel Nightroad, tried to get Ion to relative safety before rounding up as many others as he could - but a tear in reality had opened, either in the doorway itself or in the cellar floor. Either way, Ion fell through it and found himself in Xistentia.
STARTING EQUIPMENT: Aside from the clothes on his back (which probably look something like this):
- his sword
- a back-up dagger
- whetstones and polishing cloths for both blades
- small, half-full pouch containing an assortment of coins in various local (to him) currencies
- roughly a month’s supply of Aqua Vitae (blood substitute) tablets
- 20oz tube of UV protection gel
- his daemon, an albino fox squirrel named Abeld (who is, despite the name, a girl squirrel)

POWERS & SKILLS
POWERS:
Most of his ‘special abilities’ are ones all Methuselah have, and include:
- Enhanced durability. He's capable of shrugging off pretty serious wounds, unless they lead to massive blood loss or were inflicted using silver weapons. (Silver is poisonous to Methuselah.)
- Healing factor. He's proven able to fully heal from things like nearly being incinerated in the sun within a day or two tops.
- Super speed. Methuselah can move up to 20x faster than humans, and Ion is noted to be fast even for a Methuselah. His speed has been capped to 200 MPH, where he can easily catch knives and may be difficult for the human eye to follow.
- Enhanced strength. This has been capped so his deadlift is 400lbs, with up to 200lbs that he can move easily.
As far as unique skills, he has two of note:
- Swordsmanship
- Some kind of affinity for animals apparently? He gets along *really* well with other peoples’ pets, at least (ranging from housecat to flying squirrel thing to a frickin’ *tiger* that let him use it as a pillow)

MORALITY:
Ion's a fairly clear-cut Lawful Good type; for him, "doing the right thing" is generally synonymous with "following the rules". But he's not so bound to the rules as to veer into Lawful Stupid territory - he will absolutely break rules or disobey orders if he perceives that following them will lead to more harm than good.
WAR ATTITUDES:
Ion is no stranger to fighting; he's been training in swordplay from a young age and spent the better part of the last year in a series of battles, attempting to stop an assassination plot against the Empress and clear his own name.
He'd also, not long before his arrival in Xistentia, joined forces with Abel Nightroad to track down the masterminds behind that assassination attempt and defeat them once and for all.
So he'll have no qualms about raising his sword against the forces of D.E.S.T.I.N.Y. in order to save his world.
INTIMATE RELATIONSHIPS:
Not impossible for him by any stretch, but he's probably not going to be forming any in a hurry - he's currently weighed down by baggage that includes both serious trust issues (having your brother in all but blood sell you out to your enemies and later try to kill you with his own hands will do that) and unrequited feelings for one Esther Blanchett.
That said, he has proven himself able to work past those trust issues in canon, and despite his feelings for Esther he's aware there's no possibility for a romantic relationship there for a variety of reasons.
So it might take some time, but he could eventually develop close friendships and even romantic connections in Xist.
COMMUNITY CONTRIBUTIONS:
Almost certainly going to be along the lines of exploration and hunting missions - he'd be especially quick to volunteer for the latter, seeing it as a better fit for his skills.
He'd also be happy to lend his sword and skills to defending the city against invasions. While he's a half-decent strategist, he's likely to leave actual command to someone with a little more experience in that sort of role.
